Mofongo is a dish from Puerto Rico with plantains as its main ingredient. Plantains are picked green, cut into pieces and typically fried but can be boiled or roasted, then mashed with salt, garlic, broth, and olive oil in a wooden pilón.
Tostones

Tostones are twice-fried plantain slices commonly found in Latin American cuisine and Caribbean cuisine.
Cozido à portuguesa

Cozido à portuguesa or Portuguese stew is a type of cozido, traditional Portuguese boiled meal. Numerous regional variations exist throughout Portugal, and the dish is considered part of the Portuguese heritage, as well as one of the national dishes of Portugal.
